Highly recommend for a quick break
We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of our room and the lovely breakfast that was made fresh! The atmosphere was unique, being right next to the railway—that excitement of trains passing by just added to our experience.
It was a bit on the pricey side but still reasonable for what we got.

Oh mate, the lamb cutlets were a culinary delight! The breakfast was top-notch too, hearty and great value – just what you need to kickstart the day. Plus, the staff were super friendly, adding to the warm vibe!
Room 12 needs a bit of TLC – damp patches and a funky smell weren’t ideal, but it didn’t spoil the whole experience! Just a heads up about the trains. they were frequent in the evening but quiet enough overnight!

Cozy room, very friendly staff. Trains can be loud at night. Pool table in the game room was a nice touch.

The breakfast was truly exceptional!
Upon arriving, I was taken aback by the state of the room. It felt unkempt, with unsightly stains on the carpet and a lingering stale odor that was unpleasant. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly, as I found hair and grime lingering in the corners, which was incredibly off-putting.

Had an awesome time with friends! We visited Oxford and Abingdon, and it was great to unwind in our cozy double room afterward. The food was delicious at dinner and breakfast, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Just a heads-up, there’s some noise from the trains nearby, but it adds to the charm!

charming place but not what i expected
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made my stay enjoyable. The bathroom had a modern design that felt brand new, enhancing my comfort during the night.
I wasn't aware that it was a pub initially, which was a slight surprise.

will definitely go back there again
Had a lovely stay with a cozy atmosphere. My double room was really clean, had a comfy bed, a powerful shower, and an electric kettle for tea. The pub food was delicious, especially the sausages at breakfast. It’s close to a quaint village and the rail station, which adds charm, although you might hear some trains.

Super friendly vibes!
I stayed here for a night and it felt just like home. The staff were super friendly and really made me feel welcome, especially since I was solo. They even took me to a wedding nearby when the taxis were a mess! The breakfast setup was fab, but it was noisy with the trains going by all the time.
